FLOODING POSSIBLE ACROSS PARTS OF SANDY DESERT AND SALT LAKE, WARBURTON AND NULLARBOR DISTRICTS FROM TUESDAY Ex–Tropical Cyclone Luana is forecast to track further south across the WA Interior during Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing widespread rainfall, including locally heavy rainfall, across parts of the flood watch area. The system is then expected to weaken rapidly over the Nullarbor District on Thursday. Rainfall totals of 50 to 100 mm with isolated heavier falls of 100 to 150 mm are forecast across parts of Sandy Desert and Salt Lake, Warburton and Nullarbor Districts for both Tuesday and Wednesday. Forecast rainfall may result in river and creek level rises and flooding across the Flood Watch area from Tuesday. Some communities and homesteads may become isolated. Hazardous road conditions are expected, check road conditions before travelling.

FURTHER FLOODING POSSIBLE ACROSS PARTS OF SALT LAKE AND NULLARBOR DISTRICT RIVERS DURING WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY Ex–Tropical Cyclone Luana is forecast to track further southeast across the South Interior region during Wednesday into Thursday, bringing widespread rainfall, including locally heavy rainfall, across parts of the Flood Watch area. The system is then expected to weaken rapidly over the Nullarbor District on Thursday. In the 24 hours to 9:00 am Wednesday, rainfall totals of 81 mm have been observed at Tropicana Airport and 71 mm at Gruyere Airport in the Salt Lake District Rivers catchment. Rainfall totals of 40 to 50 mm with isolated heavier falls of 80 to 100 mm are forecast across parts of Salt Lake and Nullarbor Districts during Wednesday into Thursday. Forecast rainfall may result in further river and creek level rises and areas of flooding across the Flood Watch area during Wednesday into Thursday. Some communities and homesteads may become isolated. Hazardous road conditions are expected, check road conditions before travelling.

They are dangerous and should always be treated as live. * Assess your home, car and property for damage. * If damage has occurred take photos and contact your insurance company to organise permanent repairs. * If your home or property has significant damage, like a badly damaged roof or flooding, call the SES on 132 500.
