Red River At Grand Ecore affecting Natchitoches, Red River and Grant Parishes.

For the Red River,including Grand Ecore,Minor flooding is forecast.

  • WHAT: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

  • WHERE: Red River at Grand Ecore.

  • WHEN: Until late tomorrow morning.

  • IMPACTS: At 33.0 feet, Minor flooding of lowlands in the Red River floodplain between levees take place.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • At 8:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 33.5 feet.
    • Bankfull stage is 33.0 feet.
    • Recent Activity: The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 AM CDT Thursday was 34.4 feet.
    • Forecast: The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this afternoon and continue falling to 30.6 feet Tuesday morning.
    • Flood stage is 33.0 feet.
    • Flood History: This crest compares to a previous crest of 33.4 feet on 02/23/1946.
