A flood alert has been issued. Groundwater levels in Twyford and Hensting are high, but slowly falling. Over the last week, 27mm of rainfall was recorded at Otterbourne. A small number of properties in Twyford and Hensting are currently being affected by cellar flooding. Water continues to affect Hensting Lane. From Tuesday (07/05/2024) to Saturday (11/05/2024), high pressure with more settled, drier weather is expected across Hampshire. We expect groundwater levels to carry on slowly falling. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. If you have pumps to help reduce water levels, please ensure that they are operational. This Flood Alert will be updated by 18:00 on Tuesday 14/05/2024.

A flood alert has been issued. Groundwater levels in Hursley are high but have fallen by 40cm in the last week. During that time, 8mm of rainfall was recorded at the rain gauge in Otterbourne. Sewerage system impacts are continuing through the village. From today (09/05/2024) to Saturday (11/05/2024), the weather is expected to be dry. A little rainfall, approximately 5mm, is expected on both Sunday (12/05/2024) and on Monday (13/05/2024). We expect groundwater levels to continue to slowly fall over the next week. Groundwater flooding impacts in Hursley are expected to continue throughout May and possibly into June. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. If you have pumps to help reduce water levels, please ensure that they are operating. This Flood Alert will be updated by 18:00 on Thursday (16/05/2024).
