The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas

Sabine River At Longview affecting Rusk and Gregg Counties.

For the Sabine River,including Mineola, Hawkins, Gladewater, Longview, Beckville, Logansport,Moderate flooding is forecast.

  • WHAT: Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.

  • WHERE: Sabine River at Longview.

  • WHEN: Until further notice.

  • IMPACTS: At 35.0 feet, Expect severe flooding of several thousand acres of river bottom along with petroleum equipment, secondary roadways, and several structures. Preparations should be completed for a major flooding event.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • At 8:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 33.3 feet.
    • Bankfull stage is 25.0 feet.
    • Recent Activity: The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 PM CDT Saturday was 34.2 feet.
    • Forecast: The river is expected to fall to 29.7 feet Thursday evening.
    • Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
    • Flood History: This crest compares to a previous crest of 33.3 feet on 12/31/1991.
