A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
A band of gusty showers has started to move into southern portions of the Nebraska Panhandle. Wind gusts up to 60mph have been recorded in Banner County with these showers. Gusty showers will continue for the next 1 to 3 hours for this area with occasional gusts up to 60mph possible, especially under decaying showers.
