A rainstorm has been observed over Northern Benin moving westward into Ghana. This storm is expected to bring moderate to heavy rains to the Northern sector of Ghana this tonight into eary morning tomorrow. The storm is expected to produce rain with thunder within the Upper East, Northeast and Northern regions between 2:30 am and 6:00 am and drift to the west to affect the Upper west and Savannah regions between 4:00 am and 8:00am. A separate rainstorm has formed ahead and is likely to produce rain of varying intensity within the southern parts of the Northern region into parts pf the Savannah region between 1am and 3am. Kpandai, Bimbilla, Salaga and surroudings are expected to be affected.
Residents in the affected regions are advised to take precautionary measures ahead of the approaching rains. Avoid outdoor activities during heavy downpours, and stay clear of flooded roads and waterways. The storm forecasted in the earlier alert has engulfed the eastern parts of the Northern and Transition zones and is now moving westward. The Upper East, Northeast, Northern, and Oti regions are currently experiencing the system. As the morning progresses, the storm is expected to spread further within these regions, as well as into the Bono East, Bono, Ahafo, Savannah, and Upper West regions
