The moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, western part of Thailand and the Gulf while the low-pressure cell covers the North and the Northeast regions. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the country. The rather strong wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are likely 2–3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers while 1–2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In the Gulf, the waves have about 1 meter high 1-2 meters high offshore and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
People should beware of heavy to very heavy rains that may cause flash floods and overflows especially, along waterways and lowlands, and take more caution in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers areas. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore.
มรสุมตะวันตกเฉียงใต้กำลังปานกลางพัดปกคลุมทะเลอันดามัน ด้านตะวันตกของประเทศไทย และอ่าวไทย ประกอบกับมีหย่อมความกดอากาศต่ำปกคลุมบริเวณภาคเหนือตอนล่าง และภาคกลางตอนบน ลักษณะเช่นนี้ทำให้ประเทศไทยมีฝนตกหนักบางแห่ง สำหรับคลื่นลมบริเวณทะเลอันดามันตอนบนมีกำลังค่อนข้างแรง ส่วนทะเลอันดามันตอนล่าง และอ่าวไทยมีกำลังปานกลาง โดยทะเลอันดามันตอนบนมีคลื่นสูง 2-3 เมตร บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงมากกว่า 3 เมตร ทะเลอันดามันตอนล่างมีคลื่นสูง 1–2 เมตร บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงมากกว่า 2 เมตร ส่วนอ่าวไทยมีคลื่นสูงประมาณ 1 เมตร ห่างฝั่งคลื่นสูง 1–2 เมตร บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงมากกว่า 2 เมตร
ขอให้ประชาชนในบริเวณดังกล่าว ระวังอันตรายจากฝนตกหนักและฝนที่ตกสะสม ซึ่งอาจทำให้เกิดน้ำท่วมฉับพลันและน้ำป่าไหลหลาก โดยเฉพาะพื้นที่ลาดเชิงเขาใกล้ทางน้ำไหลผ่านและพื้นที่ลุ่ม รวมทั้งเพิ่มความระมัดระวังในการสัญจรผ่านบริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองไว้ด้วย ขอให้ชาวเรือบริเวณทะเลอันดามันและอ่าวไทยเดินเรือด้วยความระมัดระวังและหลีกเลี่ยงการเดินเรือในบริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองไว้ด้วย สำหรับชาวเรือบริเวณทะเลอันดามันตอนบนควรงดออกจากฝั่ง
