Extremely critical fire weather Saturday will produce significant smoke from ongoing and emerging fires. Particulate matter (PM2.5) may reach unhealthy levels through the weekend, especially in areas downwind from active wildfires in Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia. An Air Quality Alert has also been issued for Grant, Lincoln, and Spokane counties until further notice due to expected smoke impacts from ongoing and emerging fires. Shifting winds will likely bring smoke into these counties beginning Saturday evening. PM2.5 may reach unhealthy levels. When air quality is unhealthy, everyone should reduce exposure.
