  • WHAT: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is ongoing. This replaces the earlier Flood Warning.

  • WHERE: A portion of southeast South Dakota, including the following counties, Bon Homme, Clay, Davison, Hanson, Hutchinson, McCook, Turner and Yankton.

  • WHEN: Until 1245 PM CDT Monday.

  • IMPACTS: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations continues. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • At 943 AM CDT, Emergency management reported flooding from earlier heavy rain continues. Between 3 and 9 inches of rain have fallen.
    • Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected.
    • Some locations that will experience flooding include, Mitchell, Parkston, Parker, Lake Vermillion State Recreation Area, Salem, Freeman, Scotland, Marion, Canistota, Alexandria, Menno, Bridgewater, Montrose, Emery, Irene, Ethan, Mayfield, Kaylor, Monroe and Spencer In McCook County.
