MODERATE TO MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING ACROSS PARTS OF THE TOP END ONGOING FLOOD IMPACTS LIKELY TO CONTINUE ACROSS THE FLOOD WATCH AREA FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS Moderate to heavy rainfall associated with Ex-Tropical Cyclone Narelle was observed across large parts of the Flood Watch area over the weekend, worsening existing flooding and causing renewed flooding in some catchments. Further showers and thunderstorms are forecast over the next few days, however widespread significant rainfall is not expected. River and creek levels are rising, with elevated water levels occurring across much of the Top End. Roads closures are in place, with some communities isolated. Check road conditions before travelling. Flood impacts are likely to continue across the Flood Watch area for much of this week. A Severe Weather Warning for Heavy Rainfall and Damaging Winds is current for parts of the Daly and Gregory districts, which include parts of the Finniss, Moyle and Fitzmaurice River catchments within the Flood Watch area.

FLOODING POSSIBLE ACROSS PARTS OF THE KIMBERLEY FROM MONDAY Ex-Tropical Cyclone Narelle is moving across the coastal parts of the North Kimberley region during Monday evening into Tuesday morning. Ex-Tropical Cyclone Narelle is forecast to bring widespread heavy to locally intense rainfall to the northern and coastal parts of the Kimberley region Monday into Tuesday. Catchments are wet to saturated across the Kimberley, and rivers and creeks will respond rapidly to heavy rainfall. River and creek level rises, prolonged overland flooding and ponding are possible from Monday. Roads may be affected, and some communities may become isolated. Check road conditions before travelling.
