The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Missouri

Missouri River at Napoleon affecting Lafayette, Ray and Jackson Counties.

  • WHAT: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

  • WHERE: Missouri River at Napoleon.

  • WHEN: Until Friday morning.

  • IMPACTS: At 17.0 feet, Low-lying areas unprotected by levees begin to flood.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • At 8:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 17.3 feet.
    • Forecast: The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.4 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning.
    • Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
