At 12:08 on May 13, 2024, the meteorological observatory of Sansha City issued the yellow warning signal of thunderstorm and gale in Nansha: thunderstorm and gale weather may occur at 12:10 to 20:00 on the sea surface within the range of 0~150km near the the Nansha Islands, with wind force of 7~9 levels and strong lightning. It is suggested that relevant units and personnel should take precautions.
1. The government and relevant departments shall carry out wind and lightning protection work in accordance with their responsibilities; 2. Personnel should stay indoors with good wind resistance and close doors and windows; 3. Outdoor personnel should hide in buildings or cars with lightning protection facilities; Do not shelter from rain under trees, electric poles, or tower cranes; Do not use umbrellas or carry agricultural tools on your shoulders in open areas; 4. Cut off hazardous power sources, properly place outdoor items that are susceptible to strong winds, and cover building materials; 5. Airports, water transportation and other units should take measures to ensure traffic safety; 6. Water operations in relevant waters and passing ships returning to the port for shelter, and strengthening port facilities.
