Wind gusts along the coastal fringe of the South Coast and Illawarra may reach 110 km/h this morning and during the afternoon, potentially up to 120 km/h at exposed southerly locations.
For ALPINE areas above 1900 m: DAMAGING WINDS averaging 80 to 90 km/h are possible from this morning and into the afternoon, with BLIZZARD conditions also possible.
Conditions are expected to ease below warning thresholds throughout by late this evening or early Saturday morning.
