Webinar: Managing Weather Risk Across Energy Assets

Објављено од Oleksandra (meteoblue)

Weather is hitting energy infrastructure harder, faster and at a greater cost than ever, and a live webinar on 17 June will show operators how to stay one step ahead of it!

A squall stalls a wind farm. A heatwave throttles a transmission line. A passing cloud bank swings solar output before the morning coffee has cooled.

For utilities and renewable energy operators, weather has long since stopped being background noise and become a line item, one that grows more frequent, more dynamic, and more costly with every season.

Real-time weather risk across energy assets

On Wednesday 17 June, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM CEST, a free online webinar hosted by meteoblue introduces a new situational awareness solution built specifically for the energy sector. The premise is simple: you cannot manage what you cannot see. The session shows how utilities and operations and maintenance (O&M) teams can identify, assess, and monitor weather-related risks across an entire portfolio in real time, from a single wind turbine to the transmission lines and critical infrastructure that tie everything together.

Over the course of the hour, the session addresses real-time weather risk assessment across energy assets, improved operational awareness over widely distributed infrastructure, and support for proactive decision-making and response planning, illustrated with practical applications in wind and renewable energy operations. It is designed for utilities, renewable energy operators, and operations and maintenance teams responsible for safeguarding distributed portfolios.

For these audiences, the conclusion is a practical one: better weather intelligence supports faster decisions, reduces downtime, and strengthens the resilience of energy operations.

Meet the presenters

Leading the session will be Michael Bührer, Head of Weather Services, who with more than 15 years of experience was among the early pioneers of renewable forecasting and a driving force behind the energy segment. He will be joined by Nicola Pierotti, Meteorological Expert and Team Lead for Weather Services Technical Support, whose work spans meteorology, data services, product management, and client solutions, and by Philipp Kowatzki, Product Marketing Lead.

The webinar will be free of charge, conducted in English, and open to all. Register via Microsoft Teams to claim your place!
