  • WHAT: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

  • WHERE: A portion of southeast Texas, including the following areas, Brazos, Grimes, Houston, Madison, Montgomery, Northern Liberty, Polk, San Jacinto, Trinity and Walker.

  • WHEN: Through Monday morning.

  • IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • Scattered showers and thunderstorms has developed across the Watch area and will continue into Monday morning. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches with isolated higher amounts of 6 inches or more will be possible. Area soils are already saturated due to previous heavy rain events with 1 and 3 hour Flash Flood Guidance around 2 to 3 inches, so the additional heavy rainfall may result in flash flooding.
